Week one saw a lot of your usual fantasy producers getting their numbers off to a great start. Let’s see if we can’t find a few edges in Week 2 to make your fantasy rosters out perform your buddy.
The NYG-CAR RB MATCHUP
I cannot love this matchup any more. Both defenses are questionable at best and both offenses have quarterback situations that are not ideal. You need to start, in DFS, either McCaffrey or Barkley. You are getting so much value out of starting these guys against a mediocre opponent, even if everyone is playing them, you are better off finding your “edge” elsewhere.
Russ vs. The Texans
Russell Wilson is going to find his old Seattle self after the less than stellar week one performance against his old squad. Nathaniel Hackett has something to prove to the media and his team after their abysmal week 1 performance. I fully expect Russ to have at least 3 touchdowns in this game, and after week 1 you should be able to get him at a cheaper price in DFS.
Kupp vs. The Falcons
This one is the most obvious matchup that I can call out. Again, Matt Stafford’s subpar week one performance will serve as a motivating factor to pad the stats against a terrible Atlanta defense. Kupp will be running wild and wide open through this secondary, and I like him to score again, perhaps even twice this weekend.
The Bottom Line
Go cheaper at quarterback this week with Russell Wilson but don’t overthink it with the WR and RB positions. Take what the matchups are giving you and try to find your edge elsewhere, preferably with Russ looking to cook against the Texans.
